TVT
-Super busy day today! Shane has his 4 month check-up at 10am, Savannah has to be to school for 12, I have to bring my grandmother to a doctor appointment for 1pm, pick Savannah up from school at 2:30 & tonight I am getting a NEW CAR!!! Super busy but also super exciting!!! I love my new wheels so much I will try and do a post on it this weekend.
-I wish Shane understood when I say "Don't poop while in the jumper, OK love?" Hate.scrubbing.poop!
-Hubbs is off work tomorrow to build a chicken coop. We ordered 12 meat birds and they arrive next Thursday. When we ordered them I told Savannah we were going to eat them. Her response was, "you mean the eggs, right?" No honey, I mean them. Let's hope she doesn't turn into a vegetarian at the ripe old age of 4 1/2!
-Memorial Day Weekend usually means lots of flower shopping & planting. I don;t think we will be getting to that this weekend. I am so behind on my housework and we have a few cookouts to attend.
-My baby is closing in on 5 months old. 5 MONTHS OLD! 5 months is very close to 6 months and 6 months is a half a year! OMG!
-We have made plans to go to PA in August with friends on a vacation. It should be a lot of fun!!! We are going to make the 3 hour drive to there new house in NJ and stay the night then drive 3 hours to PA the following morning. Hopefully the kiddos will be OK with this.
-Diet starts back up again on Tuesday. I have been majorly slacking the past few weeks. None of my bottoms fit and I am NOT spending money on new ones. I need to loose 6lbs but would be really happy with loosing 10. I know Shane is only 4 months old but left face it-I am being lazy & making poor choices. I could loose these last pounds if I stuck to my guns.

Sleep
Last night marked 1 week straight of Shane sleeping all night long! Previously he would have a couple of good nights and then a couple of bad nights. He even had times when he would be up twice a night as recent as a 3 weeks ago. I know we aren't out of the woods yet but I am super excited for us! Now if only we could get him to sleep in his crib during the day. His best daytime sleep is when were are out about about running errands.

4 Months
My Little Lover Bug-
Not to beat a dead horse but you are the sweetest little boy I have ever known. WE just love you to pieces. You love to smile & "talk". You love your sissy and she loves you too! You love to be outside & look around. We are going to have such a fun summer!
Length:
1-13: 21 1/2 inches
Milestone: You are so close to rolling over. You are still getting hung up on your shoulder. I need to put you on the floor more during the days so you will figure this out. It is hard to give you floor time because your sister is ALWAYS on top of you. We have to be VERY careful that she never hurts you on accident.
Mommy: Mommy is doing well. I am slowly getting the hang of this "parenting to a young child business" with your sister. She sure is giving us a run for our money! You usually just sit back and watch her go. You had better not be taking notes from her.
Other stuff:
*You still don't care much for the swing (other than first thing in the morning), jumperoo or your high chair. You love to be held but that doesn't allow Mom to get much done during the day.
*We finally have your skin under control. You have had awful dry, cracking & red skin patched on your whole body and we tried so many lotions but NOTHING helped. I was ready to call the doctor to have you seen and then I ordered one last lotion. I had goog.led baby eczema and didn't think it looked like what you had but I thought this cream & body wash was worth a try. We lotion you up with almost every diaper change and it has worked wonders. If we slack off at all your skin acts up again.
Today we: You turned 4 months on Mother's Day. We had an a-mazing day! Daddy & I got up early and got ready. We fed you & sissy breakfast and then gave you both tubby's. The whole Lussier family got together for Mother's Day brunch at Aunt Nae & Uncle Rodger's because of Uncle Rodg's knee surgery he had last week. We had a great time with our family! We stayed & relaxed until about 3pm because we knew if we came home we would do work around the house. Memere Pam & Pepere Clark (Jay's parents) came over for a quick dinner out on the deck. I cannot tell you when the last time was we just relaxed and enjoyed ourselves all.day.long. It was perfect!
On Saturday we had Grammy, Grampy & Old Mem over for smoked pulled pork. It was sooooo good!

Sleep: You are STILL at the same point as last month with your sleep. I had hoped that we could have made some progress over the past month but no such luck. You still wake about 4 out of 7 nights. We change your diaper and you fall back to sleep while nursing.
The day before Mother's Day you took a 3 hour nap. I will assume that was your gift to me & I loved it!
We are still having trouble with your napping. If we are lucky you will nap for 1hr in the morning and sometimes another hour in the afternoon. You often fall asleep while in the car. Over the past two weeks you have fallen asleep 3 times while in your car seat/stroller. Twice while shopping and once at the park. I am thinking of hitting up the library for a sleep help book. You do not fall asleep on your own in your bed. I always have to nurse you. You also don't EVER sleep in the swing or bouncy seat anymore.
Feed: You are still my little boobie boy. You normally eat from one side and nurse about 6-7 times a day. I am so excited to start you on cereal in another 2 months. Hopefully we can hold out until then. You have started watching us eat and licking your mouth and chewing. I feel bad eating in front of you because you really act like you want to eat food with us.

Diaper Size: Size 2
Clothes Size: You are still in 3-6 month clothing. Any shirt that is a onsie is getting short in the tummy area. I need to try and find some of those onsie extenders. You have a long body my boy!
Hair Color: Brown
You still have a bad case of cradle cap. We wash your hair with that special greasy lotion stuff but it doesn't seem to keep it cleared up for very long. Hopefully this will be gone soon. This cradle cap is added to your list of skin issues.
-Baby acne
-Sever dry skin and/or eczema
-Cradle cap
Eye color: Blue
Funniest moment: A few weeks ago you had a major poopy diaper and I changed you on the living room floor. I didn't realize just how major this poopy diaper was until I opened it up. It was obvious that a tub was needed. I had stripped you of your poopy clothes and was looking at you laughing while I was wondering how I was going to get you up to the tub when your "little sprayer" started spraying! This whole ordeal was such a poop/pee disaster that I could help but crack up. We seriously need to shampoo the living room carpet.

Mom of the Year
Is it wrong that I just breastfed my baby while drinking a beer before noon time on Mother's Day weekend???
(In my defense, I have been up since 5am and I have already ran a bunch of errands, did a shit load of housework, made a dessert & salad for tonight's Mother's Day feast. I feel like it should be at least 3pm.)
Much love to all you bloggies friends!!!

Quick Hello
Life in our house has been super busy over the past few weeks. I haven't had much time for blogging and that makes me sad :-( . I am happy to say that my best girlfriend and I celebrated National Momma's Night Out last night by getting mani's, pedi's and cocktails! This holiday came at a perfect time because I have been feeling a little down lately. A mani & pedi is my favorite form of pampering.
Hubby has been doing a bunch of new landscaping over the past few weekends so I haven't been getting much help with the kids. I think this is why I was feeling burnt out. Savannah's behavior has been touch and go and Shane isn't a very good napper so my housework has been suffering. I know it sounds wacked but if I don't get in enough scrubbing time it makes me a little nuts. Seriously! Yesterday I was able to scrub the kitchen half bath and it was like I took a mood enhancing pill. I was nothing short of amazing!
I hope to be able to find the time to do Shane's 4 month (HFS!) post this weekend. My baby will be 4 months (HFS!) on Sunday. This blows my mind!
Now a few pictures of my lovers...

Life with a 4 Year Old
Disclaimer: This is a brutally honest post. This is and has been my everyday for the past 7ish months. This isn't pretty but it is what it is. I have been wanting to write a post about life with Savannah for a while but I have been scared. We are having and have been having a very hard time with her.
Life with a 4 year old is absolute chaos most of the time. I often wonder what has happened to my sweet baby girl. I feel like someone has stolen my angel and replaced her with a whiny, often naughty and defiant child. You always hear people talk about the Terrible Two's. Two was easy for us. Sure we had a rough day from time to time but for the most part things were usually pretty awesome. Stupid me figured that we had lucked out and missed that phase (please let this be just a phase). Man was I wrong. Very very wrong. Things went down hill fast at 3 1/2. Very very fast. I don't know what it was that changed things. If you tell Savannah it's black she says it's white. If you tell her up she says it's down. She whines, rolls her eyes, stomps around and screams on the top of her lungs. When she is mad she will say that she wishes she had her own house with no Mommy or Daddy but just herself and Shane. At least she loves her brother.
I have a friend who tells me things are even worse at 4 & 5 years old then they were at 3. It's was hard to believe that is even possible. When I was pregnant I was petrified on how she would react to having a new baby. Thankfully she has been great with her brother. She has never acted out towards him ever. She is always gentle and kind to him. She tries to soothe him when he is upset. My sweet girl is still in there someplace.
Savannah will go to my in-law's or parent's for the day and for the most past she is a total angel. She has rolled her eyes and "growled" at my Mom before but my Mom set her straight. If she acts up and is spoken to by someone other then Jay or I she calms right down. Jay and I can threaten and take away her beloved pillow, bookie (a Tag.gies book she LOVES), her special blankies, TV & even fruit (her absolute favorite snack). We put her in timeout/naughty spot. We sit and talk about her behavior with her after she has calmed down. Nothing seems to help and I am at a loss on how to discipline her. I NEVER in a million years thought we would have these problems. She was always such a well behaved child. As awful as it is, I often look forward to her school days & play dates with her grandparents. She can be so rotten sometimes that I don't even want to be around her. It breaks my heart to say that but it's true. Summer vacation is going to be hard. Lord help us when she is a teenager.
