Commenting problems
Anyone else having trouble commenting on blogs? I keep getting this error message saying something about "log in not having access to this blog". I get a prompt to log out and log back in but this doesn't help. How frustrating!

24 Weeks
How far along: 24 weeks (only 111 more day (ish) to go!!!
Size of Baby:
Your baby's growing steadily, having gained about 4 ounces since last week. That puts him at just over a pound. Since he's almost a foot long (picture an ear of corn), he cuts a pretty lean figure at this point, but his body is filling out proportionally and he'll soon start to plump up. His brain is also growing quickly now, and his taste buds are continuing to develop. His lungs are developing "branches" of the respiratory "tree" as well as cells that produce surfactant, a substance that will help his air sacs inflate once he hits the outside world. His skin is still thin and translucent, but that will start to change soon.
By the end of this week, your wee womb-squatter will be weighing in at a whopping 2 lbs and 14 inches long.
Maternity Clothes: I am pretty much in all maternity clothes at this point. I have a few regular shirts that still fit. I have noticed a HUGE change in the style between maternity clothes now and when I was pregnant with Savannah 4 years ago. Form fitting it the way to go now. I would say I feel more comfortable in fitted shirts too. I don't feel big & sloppy.
Weight Gain: 14 total. I need to step up the walking & pregnancy yoga again.
Stretch Marks: None
Belly Button: Spreading out slowly
Sleep: Sleep has been pretty good the last few weeks. I wake at either 2 or 5am to pee but am able to back to sleep till usually 8. I know, I am spoiled!
Best Moment of the Week: Jay finished painting the nursery last night so tonight we will move back all of the furniture and hang the window hardware. I am still waiting for the drape clips to be delivered then I can hand the blackout curtains.
Movement: Our little man is VERY active at night. This kinda scares me-I am not gonna lie! Let's hope nighttime isn't his active time when he is on the outside.
Symptoms: I feel like I am as big as a house but other than that everything is well. It is getting harder and harder to put on Savannah sneakers and get up and down form the floor.
Food cravings/Aversions: Same old same old. Boneless buffalo wings. I haven't had any in weeks so I would say it's getting about that time!!!
Gender: Sweet little baby boy
What I miss: Not too much of anything. I have been nesting with the usual cleaning but also I CAN'T STOP cooking and baking! It's unreal! I have been baking between 1-2 desserts a day for the past few weeks. I don't want to eat the goodies so I am giving them to everyone I know! It doesn't help that I got fresh peaches & a case of apples from the orchard last week. I have made 25 cups of applesauce for the freezer! Next week I am making apple pies to freeze. Then I will make a few chicken/turkey pot pies and freeze them.
Looking Forward to: Getting the nursery all put together. I am so excited!
Weekly Wisdom:
Milestones: 24 weeks! I will feel better and better as the weeks go on that if baby were to come early he would be OK. I want to keep him cooking for as long as possible but it does ease my mind a little.
Dreams: I have been having some weird dreams but I forget them soon after I wake up. I should start writing them down. This has to be because of pregnancy because I am not much of a dreamer usually.
Other happenings: Last week at school Savannah was asked on a worksheet to name the other members of her family. She said Mommy, Daddy & Shane. How freaking cute is that! He baby brother isn't even here yet and she already sees him as part of our family. I couldn't be more proud of my little princess.

10 years later
“Time is passing. Yet, for the United States of America, there will be no forgetting September the 11th. We will remember every rescuer who died in honor. We will remember every family that lives in grief. We will remember the fire and ash, the last phone calls, the funerals of the children. “

Free maternity Products
I wanted to share that I received a promotional email from Destin.ation Mater.nity with a coupon code for free maternity products. I checked out the website and ordered myself a breastfeeding cover-up in one order then I placed a separate order for washable nursing pads in another. All you have to pay is $9.95 each order for shipping & handling. The nursing cover is usually $32.95 and the nursing pads $31.95. Not a bad deal at all! A sling website is also offering this deal but I can't see myself using this type.
Website: Uddercovers.com & Sevenslings.com
Coupon code: Destination
FYI: I think this coupon code is only valid today. So shop away!

First day of Pre-School
Today was Savannah's first day of her second year of pre-school. She wasn't overly excited to go back and even said she didn't miss her teachers. I switched her from morning class to afternoon for this year in anticipation for January. Just today alone this was proven to be a better fit for her. She was able to sleep until her normal time (8:45am), eat a nice breakfast, take a tub and then be ready for school at 12noon.
She had a wonderful first day back to school! She was so happy to see her teachers when we arrived at school. I wasn't sure how drop off work go for her but she went right back into the swing of things. I helped her hang up her backpack and she was off to play with her teacher. When I picked her up she was outside playing with her cousin, Sage, and two other little girls. It was so cute to see her mingling with the kids all on her own. This is going to be a great year!
