6 Months

Shane-

I cannot believe that today you are 6 months old.  After today you are closer to turning 1 than the day that you were born.  Mommy is going to have a very hard time with you growing up, my little man.  I wish you could stay small forever.

Sleep:  You don't really change much from month to month.  You are still waking 1x a night to nurse and you go right back to bed.  You are doing better at night with going to bed.  You sometimes still wake up and need me to help you fall back asleep but not always.  You are still a cat napper during the day.  When you wake you want nothing to do with Daddy.  He feels really bad about this but I tell him it's because he doesn't have the magic boobs.


Feed: Same as last month but cereal is on it's way.  Then some pures!  So exciting!  You are nursing on average 5-6 times a day.

Weight:
1-13: 8lbs 5 oz.
1-16: 8lbs 0.04oz.
1-19: 8lbs. 4oz.

1-26: 8lbs. 7oz.
2-16: 10lbs. 11oz.
3-13: 13lbs (at home)
3-28: 13lbs. 6oz.(at 2 month check-up)
4-13: (at home)
5-13: 15lbs (at home)
5-24: 15.3 50th percentile (at 4 month check-up)
6-13: 15.6 (at home)
7-17: 16.8 (at home)

Length:
1-13: 21 1/2 inches

2-16: 22 inches
3-13: 22 1/2 inches (at home)

Clothes Size: Still some 3-6 but mostly 6-9

Hair Color:  Your air is brown but much lighter than your sisters

Funniest moment:  Your giggle is just so adorable!  Sissy love to put on shows for you.  You watch her very closely and often laugh from deep down in your belly.

Milestone:
*You have figured out that you can move your body to get to things you want to explore when you are on the floor.  You roll and scoot yourself around.  I don't think it will be long and you will figure out how to crawl.  We are really going to be in trouble then!

Firsts:

*7/3-  You had your first sickness this month, an eye infection.  I brought you in to see Dr. Mor.ris and you were given an oral antibiotic and an eye ointment.  You were all cleared up the very next day.
Not sure of the exact date, but you had your first adventure in the kiddie pool (which you didn't like) and you went in the regular pool also for the first time!  Both times you wouldn't take your eyes off the water.

*7/13-  FIRST big boy food!  Organic rice cereal with breast milk.  Savannah also fed you a bottle of the leftover milk from the cereal.  Her first time feeding you!

Today we:  In celebration of your 6 month birthday today we gave you rice cereal for breakfast!  It was perfect timing because Daddy was home today to get things ready for your Baptism BBQ.  You loved your cereal so much!
