Shanie Boy-
Your 7 months old now! I still have a very hard time wrapping my mind around the fact that you are so old! I really don't understand how it happened. This past month you are grown and experienced more than ever! You have changed so much! My heart is as happy and proud as it is sad. You now eat food, sit up, crawl and have 2 teeth! How the heck did this all happen so fast??? You are still such a good boy almost all of the time. You are a very "go with the flow" kind of guy. You do your best to make things easy for me and I really appreciate it!
Sleep: Somehow I always forget to mention that you like to be put to bed on your side if you are already sleeping. It is super cute! You are usually on your belly when you wake up. You still sometimes wake up after being in bed for about 45 minutes. After a quick nurse you are sleeping again. I know this is a habit we really should break you of but I am not ready to let you cry it out. You are doing better than last month so I am OK with things. You have been improving (knock on wood) your naps lately. You even had 2 days where you slept for 2 3/4 hours!!!
Feed: This month was a BIG month for you on the food front. You have tried so many new things! You eat cereal & fruit for breakfast about 1 hour after your morning boob. About 1 hour after breakfast I boob you to nap. You eat a veggie and baby yogurt for lunch. Boob for afternoon nap. You will eat cereal & a meat & veggie meal for dinner. Boob again for a quick nap & then boob for bed. You still love your boob and moan & groan when you hear the word! It's adorable!

Milestones:
*7/13- Started rice cereal in the morning.
*7/20 started rice cereal at dinner also. Your first cereal dinner was at Aunt Nae & Uncle Rodger's house celebrating Nikki's 18th Birthday with the family.
*7/15- You were baptised and we had a wonderful BBQ at our house to celebrate the occasion
*7/24- While up in the playroom, you got yourself up on your forearm's and knees and were rocking back and forth.
*7/30- First crawl stride forward (living room floor - trying to get his ball)
*8/1- Today Shane started sitting up on his bottom by himself for a decent amount of time. Before today he would topple over after about 5-10 seconds. I set him on the floor at our friends, The Cox's, house while visiting them in NJ. He sat up for a few minutes like such a big boy!
*8/2- First vacation! Lancaster PA to visit Ami.sh Cou.ntry- you were a perfect angel the entire vacation. Even the 8 hour drive home!

Check-ups: Not until 9 months in September
Other stuff: We got our laying hens this past weekend. I am so excited for you to try an egg in a few months. I am sure you will love them! Our bunny, Joni, passed away earlier this week. She will be missed.
Today we: Went to a meeting with a lawyer to sign paperwork for refinancing our mortgage. Due to the drop in the interest rate we will be saving about $150.00 a month! We ate lunch with Daddy at work after the meeting. Other than this we were home for the rest of the day. We played with toys and sister. We are enjoying these last few weeks together before school starts up in 2 weeks.

Shane is changing so much! I'm glad his sleeping is improving, it's so nice when they nap long chunks of time like that. I can't believe summer is almost over, it seriously went by TOO fast! That's so awesome you can refi your house, that will save you quite a bit of money, we are in the process of selling ours now, but we will need to shop around for interest rates again if we buy.
ReplyDeleteIt sounds as if he has really found a love of food this month!! Whilst still keeping his love of the boob too of course! ;) Oh my, just love his hair and face in that photo. What a cutie!! Alidia was checking him out and smiling too ...Now she is just trying to hit the keys on my computer while I try to type! :P Sorry to hear about your bunny! :(
